UCL Workbench - Kenwood call list converter
Agencies with Kenwood and Motorola radios keep the same contacts twice. The UCL Workbench reads a Kenwood call list and writes one, so a single list serves both makes.
What it does
- Reads the Kenwood call list as programmers keep it for KPG: a sheet per system, no header row - Name, Unit ID, System ID and WACN in hex for a trunking system, Name and ID for a conventional one.
- One radio on several sheets becomes one contact with an ID per system, as a Motorola UCL holds it; you say what each conventional sheet is (ASTRO Conventional or MDC) and its group.
- Export either way: the UCL XML the Motorola CPS imports, or the Kenwood call list back as a sheet per system.
- Combine several files - a Motorola UCL and Kenwood lists - into one.
- The same checks for both makes: duplicate IDs, duplicate and similar aliases, names over 14 characters - put right on the page.

Which systems does it read?
ASTRO 25 (P25) trunking - the system ID and WACN in hex, as the Kenwood list has them - and conventional sheets of names and IDs.
